NARRA’s Viper Racing League Champion Ben Keating Wins the Inaugural Dodge Viper Cup Race at VIR

ALTON, Virginia (Sunday, July 11, 2010) – NARRA’s 2009 Viper Racing League Champion Ben Keating won the inaugural Dodge Viper Cup race. On what was a hot and steamy afternoon Dodge launched its Dodge Viper Cup race series in front of a record crowd at a NARRA Viper Days event. Keating started on the pole in his new Dodge Viper ACR-X and never looked back in the first of two races at the first Dodge Viper Cup weekend event, held at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia, July 10-11, 2010. A Huge Viper Days Sebring Winterfest

Sebring, FL - The weekend was quite impressive with over 380 cars in attendance. They weren’t all Vipers, of course. There were Daytona Prototype cars, Grand Am Teams, ALMS teams and a mixture of teams getting geared up for the 2010 season. Viper Days had 37 cars registered. In a joint race event with the Porsche BMW Owners Club (PBOC) at their annual Oktoberfest at Daytona International Speedway, the NARRA’s season finale was a thriller with its Viper Racing League point competition decided in the last race of the weekend. Neil Hannemann Named to World Challenge Post

SCCA Pro Racing introduced former series Champion Neil Hannemann as its new World Challenge Competition Director today.
The new position will advise in the technical specification process of the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT and Touring Car Championships, working closely with SCCA Pro Racing Competition and Technical Director Ken Tripkos. Both Hannemann and Tripkos will report to SCCA Pro Racing President & CEO Robert Wildberger.
